Here you can change your password on AEGEEserv over https. Fill out the fields and press submit afterwards.

There is no protection against brute-forced attacks. The account is not locked after many unsuccessful attempts. You must choose a password, that is impossible to guess.

Your password will expire in two months after its last change. Then you have to change it again. You can change the password here, using SSH-shell with the command kpasswd, or any software for changing Kerberos passwords, like MIT Kerberos for Windows. Many of the offered services are kerberized.

On the following page the last line indicates the result of the operation. It shall be "Password changed.". If you enter wrong current password, "Password incorrect while getting initial ticket" will appear. Please try again, if the last line is "Password for ...@AEGEE.ORG:" .

Password policy

• Password expires two months, after being changed,
• Password can not be reused, once changed.
• Password must be at least 8 characters long.
• Password has to contain at least 2 character classes. As character classes count
  • lower-case letters,
  • upper-case letters,
  • digits,
  • punctuation,
  • all other characters (e.g., control characters).
